We can harvest 3-4 weeks before well-known South American locations

Where we are

We are based in the Bahia de Banderas Valley on the Pacific Coast of Mexico, an important tourist destination that benefits from an international airport with several direct flights to destinations all over the world.

How is the Weather

Short Cycle

The warm winter temperatures in the valley allow a quick accumulation of the total amount of growing degree days (GDD) that crops need to complete their cycle.

The conditions in this location allow us to harvest 3-4 weeks before well-known South American locations. With such time savings can wait for test trials results before sending their seeds.

Mexico is a GMO-free region for corn since 2020. The refusal of authorization to import and produce GM corn seeds was ratified by the Mexican government on October 8, 2021. The probability of GM events pollution in corn is very low, which avoids the risk of customs delays or positive control costs in countries where GMOs are not permitted.

Mexico participates in the OECD Seed Scheme since 2002, allowing us to certify seeds recognized in many countries. The OECD Schemes for the Varietal Certification of Seed promotes the use of certified agriculture seed that is of consistently high quality. These seeds are produced – and officially controlled – according to a set of harmonized procedures put in place in the 61 participating countries.

In Mexico the national designated authority to control and certify seeds is the SNCIS (Servicio Nacional de Inspeccion de Semillas).
